“Naslediya” is a film directed by Eric Abdykalikov that was released in December 2019 in Central Asia. The movie follows the lives of some of the most prominent creatives in Kyrgyzstan today.

Monumentalist, painter, people's artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, professor of the Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic.He was engaged in the decoration of the State Philharmonic, the Wedding Palace and the Frunze Museum. He is the author of mosaics inside the Kyrgyz music school called Shubin, mosaics at the South Gate and many other recognizable works in Bishkek. The seashell that Aktan holds in his portrait was a prop from his first film that came out in 1998 titled Beshkempir/The Adopted Son.
The movie is based of off his life. Being adopted at a very young age Aktan kept wondering why his real parents left him and who they actually were. These questions found their answers in his art films.
Aktan Arym Kubat is included in the list of best directors in Asia according to film critics of the Busan Film Festival. Laureate of the Silver Leopard of the Locarno Festival, the Bronze Lion of the Cannes Advertising Festival, member of the Un Certain Regard sections of the Cannes Film Festival,
